Thanks to foodie colleague and nutritionist Sarah La Touche for telling me about Revive. This business is truly a delicious healthy food haven in the central city.
Started by Jeremy Dixon in 2005, Revive offers healthy, tasty and great looking food which appeals to a wide range of clientele.
The décor of the café is as fresh-looking as the food. A virtual rainbow of colours greets you in the salad selection. There is also a daily soup special and a daily meal offering, such as vegetarian curry, chili, neat loaf or spanikopita, to name but a few of the possibilities.
Both times that I have visited the Lorne Street location, I have opted for the small salad selection of three salads. I especially loved the vivid coleslaw with beetroot and also the Moroccan chickpeas with spices and the sweet hit of sultanas. There is a revolving variety of salads but you may also see rice and potato based salads, Greek, Caesar, bean and vegetable salads – all look delicious. The hot meal specials would be perfect in colder weather or for an evening meal.
You can eat in or takeaway, and for the ultimate in convenience, order on-line for courier delivery to your office or home!
Jeremy has shared his passion for healthy living and eating through the Revive website, their weekly emails and their Revive Café Cookbook, so you can recreate the dishes at home.
Next time you are looking for a place to eat in the CBD, head over to Revive. Your taste buds and your body will thank you for it.
