Revive

Revive

Thanks to foodie colleague and nutritionist Sarah La Touche for telling me about Revive. This business is truly a delicious healthy food haven in the central city.

Started by Jeremy Dixon in 2005, Revive offers healthy, tasty and great looking food which appeals to a wide range of clientele.

The décor of the café is as fresh-looking as the food. A virtual rainbow of colours greets you in the salad selection. There is also a daily soup special and a daily meal offering, such as vegetarian curry, chili, neat loaf or spanikopita, to name but a few of the possibilities.

Both times that I have visited the Lorne Street location, I have opted for the small salad selection of three salads. I especially loved the vivid coleslaw with beetroot and also the Moroccan chickpeas with spices and the sweet hit of sultanas. There is a revolving variety of salads but you may also see rice and potato based salads, Greek, Caesar, bean and vegetable salads – all look delicious. The hot meal specials would be perfect in colder weather or for an evening meal.

You can eat in or takeaway, and for the ultimate in convenience, order on-line for courier delivery to your office or home!

Jeremy has shared his passion for healthy living and eating through the Revive website, their weekly emails and their Revive Café Cookbook, so you can recreate the dishes at home.

Thanks Lynn for introducing me to Revive, particularly as I have a vegetarian son for whom I am always looking for tasty nutritious vegetarian ideas. I rarely go into the city but after checking out Revive’s website I am salivating – only thing to do was order the cookbook! I love Cheapeats for all your discoveries. Thank you.

    Hi Lynn

I’m sorry but I totally disagree with you for the first time. My experience, when I took a friend and my daughter, was so horrible we vowed never to darken the door again. This may not be the place to elaborate further but I would offer a word of caution to others. Each experience is different it seems.

Typical Jeremy, what a stand up guy. This is the kind of service you can expect when the owner has invested his life’s passion into his business. Revive’s food is amazing, I wish it was closer to my office.
